Throughout the school year, the Admissions Office offers numerous opportunities to experience the Cardinal community and spirit, including Shadow Visits, Open House, Cardinal In Training, and more. Applications Open - October 1, 2018

Online applications for the 2019-20 school year open on October 1. 

Shadow Visits

8th grade students are invited to experience a day in the life of a Bishop Diego Cardinal. Be a student for a day, attend classes, ask questions, and get to know our school community. Shadow Visit Days are available on selected Tuesdays and Fridays. We do have a limit to the number of students we host on any given day, but will do our best to accommodate your student and your schedule.

Admissions Information Night/MS Movie Night - October 2, 2019 @ 5:30 p.m.

Visit our campus to learn more about the admissions process and what makes Bishop Diego High School the best school for your student! Parents and prospective students are welcome to attend a casual evening in our library to speak with current students, teachers, and administrators, ask questions, and get to know why Bishop Diego is the best high school in Santa Barbara and the surrounding communities! 

While parents attend Admissions Information Night, middle school students are invited to enjoy our MS Movie Night in our Mission Center located in room 208.

Middle School Chemistry Night - October 24, 2018 @ 5:00 p.m.

Save the date! Space is limited. The Chemistry night is a middle school event (grades 5-8) celebrating National Chemistry Week. This year's theme is "Chemistry is out of this World."  The experiments will be related to space science. The event will run from 4-5:30 and we will serve pizza and a homemade treat afterward. 

Open House - Sunday, November 4, 2018, 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Learn about the lifelong benefits of a Bishop Diego education. Take a campus tour and see our amazing facilities; meet our teachers and students; visit academic departments and learn about our curriculum; explore our arts and athletics programs; talk to admission and college counseling representatives, and much more!

Freshman for a Day - Tuesday, November 13, 2018, 9:00 - 1:00 p.m.

All 8th grade students are invited to be a Bishop Diego Freshman for a Day! They will attend classes, experience a spirit rally, learn about Bishop academics, activities, athletics, and spirituality, and discover what it means to be a Cardinal!

Entrance Placement Testing - January 12 or 26, 2019 @ 9:00 a.m.

All applicants for grade 9 must sit for Bishop Diego's Entrance Placement Test. A completed online application and the application fee must be submitted before a student may sit for the exam. Families can choose which date is best for their applicant within the online application. 

Middle School Multimedia Night - January 15, 2019 @ 5:00 p.m.

Middle school students in grades 6, 7, & 8 are invited to Multimedia Night at Bishop Diego High School! Experience our state-of-the-art broadcast and sound studios and create something very special to take home with you that night! Our own BDTV and Sound & Design students will be on hand to show you the ropes and share why BDHS is the best! Space is extremely limited and an RSVP is required.
