Next Stop, Everywhere: Celebrate Where the Cardinals of 2026 Are Heading Next!
Dana Coppa, College Counseling
What a joy it was to work with Bishop's largest senior class in years and witness their tremendous growth and maturity. The truth is, though, the work starts long before senior year. Our college counseling approach is deeply individualized, beginning before students even walk through Bishop's doors. Our counselors and admissions staff stay closely connected to college representatives, so we always know what schools are genuinely looking for, and conversations with students and families are informed by that knowledge.
By junior year, the process shifts into high gear with one-on-one family meetings, workshops woven into coursework, a Summer College Boot Camp, an on-campus college fair each August, and visits from more than 80 college representatives throughout the year. Senior year, we spend the full year together crafting essays, refining college lists, securing letters of recommendation and finding the right fit for each individual Cardinal. And the support doesn't stop at the acceptance letter: we walk families through financial aid, appeals, scholarship requests and even how to prepare to leave for college all the way through May 1.
While we're proud of our results, what matters most is that every student departs Bishop heading somewhere they can truly thrive, a place that fits who they are and who they're becoming. The Class of 2026 made that easy to celebrate:
Bishop's acceptance rate: 71.6% — 11–14 points above the national average of 57–60%
