Lily Simolon

“I truly value Bishop’s effort to put technology in place, helping students and staff with the challenges that have come with distance learning.”

Lily '23 plays basketball and softball for Bishop. In addition to her athletic involvement, Lily is involved in our STEAM society, and represents Bishop Diego as a Cardinal Ambassador.

Evelyn Pazos

“If someone told me three years ago that I would be learning online from the seat of my own home as a Senior, I would have thought that was crazy. I believe that as a Cardinal Community we can come together to face this obstacle in a safe and organized way. While things won't necessarily go back to normal, I know our faculty has worked hard to prepare for this challenge. Your help makes this possible."

Evelyn '21 represents Bishop as the Head Cardinal Ambassador. She has served on ASB for 2 years and currently acts as Secretary for the ASB Senior Cabinet. She is Captain of the Cheer team and has been team manager for girls basketball and baseball for 2 years. In addition to being part of CSF and the Campus Ministry team, Evie co-started a service club called Teens On The Scene of which she serves as Vice-President.

Tyler McCune

"To be a successful student during a pandemic, it is essential to have working devices and safe and clean classrooms."

Tyler '23 is a member of the Bishop Diego Golf team and volunteers his time serving his fellow students in the Cardinal Cafe.

Caprisabel Acquistapace

Capri '23 is a member of the inaugural BDHS water polo and swim teams. She serves in a leadership position as a Cardinal ambassador and is also an active member of the Art Club.

The Maho triplets '21 have made the most of their years as Cardinals, playing active roles in both the Cardinal and greater Santa Barbara communities. As a family, the Mahos spend much of their time volunteering at local organizations in town, serving as founding members of the school's Fishing Club, and actively participating on the school's football and baseball teams. The Mahos are also members of both NHS and CSF and involve themselves in every opportunity available to them!

Logan Maho

"The 2020 school year is going to be different. Online school is going to be challenging for the students and especially the teachers. In order for us to learn and understand the information the teachers are giving us they are going to need good technology for us to learn and become successful graduates.

“With the COVID-19 pandemic, safety requirements such as larger class sizes are not allowed. With your generous donation students will be given the opportunity to be in a smaller class so they can reach their academic goals.”

"In such uncertain times, it is only bright to seek out control and comfort. From personal experience school can be very much that, and although remote learning is close to in-person learning, it simply is not the same. With your support, Bishop can extend its safety measures and procedures, allowing students to return to campus soon and under incredibly safe conditions."
