As a family, we take advantage of any opportunity to enjoy the outdoors together, whether its surfing, biking, skiing, hiking, etc., we realize we are blessed and we make the most of our time together. I am an avid runner and enjoy sharing this passion for a balanced, active lifestyle with my children. What drew you to Bishop Diego?I thrive in environments that foster community and our Catholic schools are known for this! To be the leader of a community in which students are safe, happy, and nurtured gives me hope that we are sending off generations of young adults who are prepared to do good in our world! Bishop Diego is home to me and I find it a great privilege to lead a school in which respect and compassion are part of our daily interactions with each other. This is rare in today's times and something that I am proud to boast about Bishop Diego. What book are you reading or have you read recently and what is it about?I recently read, "The Boys in the Boat," by Daniel James Brown. This is a true story about the University of Washington's rowing team in 1936. As they sought Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, they learned the importance of team work. I enjoyed this book very much as it speaks to leadership and the importance of everyone rowing in the same direction to accomplish a common goal! Every member of the team matters.Where would we find you when you are not at work? or Where is your favorite place in the world? You would find me enjoying the outdoors with my family or on a long run! What is your favorite Bible verse or inspirational quote?"With self-discipline, all things are possible." -Theodore RooseveltWhat advice would you give to a new Bishop student?I cannot encourage our students enough to get involved in anything and everything these 4 years of their lives! What you put into the BD experience, you will get out of it...ten fold!
