Welcome to the Athletics page! My name is Aaron Skinner and I am the Athletic Director at Bishop Diego HS. I am a graduate of Bishop Diego, class of 2008, and am so fortunate to be back serving the new generation of Cardinals!

As the premiere faith-based, CAIS/WCEA/WASC accredited high school serving Santa Barbara and the surrounding areas, we are committed to
providing a complete educational experience. Through Bishop's three Core Values (Respect, Perseverance and Compassion), we aim to develop the entire individual, not simply the athlete. It is our goal to ensure that these Core Values create a solid foundation for Bishop Diego graduates to build upon following their time with us. Approximately 80% of our student body participates in at least one sport during their time at Bishop, while approximately 50% participate in more than one sport. We strongly encourage multi-sport participation and are supportive of a wide range of experience and skill level. Unless a sport is severely impacted, which rarely happens, we have a no cut policy, so the question will never be, “Can I play this sport?” instead it’ll be “What level will I be playing this sport?”. All of our teams, with the exception of football, compete in the Tri County Athletic Association, which is comprised of similar sized schools from Los Olivos down to Simi Valley. Football competes in the ultra competitive Marmonte League.
