Current Announcements: Our scrimmage is scheduled with San Marcos HS on August 27 and we open at home against Santa Ynez HS with JVs playing on September 9 at Bishop, Varsity at SBCC La Playa Stadium on September 10. Cardinal Football News Update: On September 4, two of our former Bishop players playing college ball play face-off in a game at Cal Poly SLO. Scott Winnewisser (2006), All Conference offensive tackle for the Cal Poly Mustangs gets to compete against Kevin Duley (2006), starting outside linebacker competing for the Cal State Humboldt Lumberjacks. Both are great models for our current Bishop players.

Congratulations as well to Aaron Skinner and Christian Winnewisser (2007), Scott Winnewisser (2006), and Jacob Sandoval (2005) representing Cardinal players selected as the best of the best in Santa Barbara -- Santa Barbara County Players of the Year this decade.
