October 24, 2007 - Grandparents Luncheon – Celebrating Generations
The Grandparents luncheon was held at BGDHS in the Main Gymnasium, with a total of 185 smiling grandparents and their grandchildren in attendance. This special luncheon provided an opportunity for the grandparents to spend a portion of their afternoon with their grandchild(ren). Students created cards recalling special shared memories and then presented them during the event. The luncheon began with a blessing and school presentation by principal, Fr. Tom Elewaut. Junior student, Paul Gherini, welcomed guests and shared a special memory about his grandmother, who attended the event and had just celebrated her 90th birthday. Grandparents were treated to a spirit-filled school video presentation and a campus tour.
