Cardinal Event

October 27, 2007 – Cardinal Event
This event was given a new name this year.  Previously known as the “Special Event”, the Cardinal Club felt it was time for this long standing fundraiser to have a fresh title.  Congratulations to our winners in the 2007 “Cardinal Event” Reverse Drawing & Car/Cash Drawing.  A total of 730 raffle tickets sold for the dual drawing.  All proceeds from the Cardinal Event go toward BGDHS Athletics.

The winner of the 2007 VW Beetle or $20,000.00 Cash Prize was Denise & Eric Rennacker!  There were 16 winners for the Reverse Raffle, with cash prizes ranging from $50.00 to $5,000! Congratulations to the winners!

The Saturday evening Cardinal Event had a great turn out, over 300 guests enjoyed cocktails and hearty hors d'oeuvres.  The Junior Class also hosted their raffle event to raise funds for their prom!  Juniors enlivened the event by selling raffle tickets based on such measures as “body wraps”, “length of the gym” and “arm’s length” – (wingspan matters!) Special thanks to Fess Parker Winery for their donation of the evening’s fine wines.
