The Cardinal Alumni Association is open to all alumni of Santa Barbara Catholic High and Bishop García Diego High School and their parents.
The functions of the association are to:
Promote relations between alumni of Santa Barbara Catholic High School (SBCHS) and Bishop García Diego High Schools (BGDHS) and the students of BGDHS
Create a means of communication and outreach to alumni
Support BGDHS and the Alumni Endowment Fund

“Once a Cardinal, Always a Cardinal.” Membership to the Cardinal Alumni Association is open to anyone who attended Santa Barbara Catholic High or Bishop García Diego High School. A copy of the Cardinal Alumni Association By-Laws can be found here.

Calendar of meetings
The Alumni Association will meet the following months throughout the school year: (1) August, (2) October, (3) January, (4) April and (5) May. If the 1st Wednesday of the month lands on a holiday/vacation time for the school, the meeting will be moved to the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
Cardinal Apparel
Alumni apparel can purchased at school athletic events (such as home football games), during alumni events, or ordered
directly from our supplier. Click on the "Cardinal Specials" to see the full array of products available (that we are not able to keep in stock at the school). The Alumni Association receives all profits from apparel sales, so show your Cardinal Spirit!

Get ready to have a NEW favorite cookbook from your Cardinal Alumni Association! For the first time ever, your fellow Cardinal Alumni will be compiling and publishing an alumni cookbook. Sure to be a huge success, this venture is sponsored by your Cardinal Alumni Association.

Each year alumni are nominated for one of three awards: Outstanding Alumni, Lifetime Achievement and Humanitarian. Winners are honored at the Alumni End of Year Mass, which is scheduled for Thursday, May 27, 2010. Mass begins promptly at 11:10 a.m. Following the mass and awards ceremony, a celebration luncheon is held in the school library. Click here to see the 2009 Honorees.
To nominate an Alumnus for one of the three awards, please download the nomination form and submit by email to Stacey Carr. Alternatively, you may mail the form directly to the school, attention: Stacey Carr.
Outstanding Alumni Award
This award is given to the Alumnus who exemplifies the spirit and values of Bishop Garcia Diego High School and has willingly given of their time and/or resources to advance and support the needs of the Alumni Association and/or the school.
Lifetime Achievement Award
This award is given to the Alumnus who by virtue of their professional career and/or lifetime accomplishments, has not only achieved and/or positive notoriety, but in some manner, has given back to the school and/or to the community.
Humanitarian Award
This award is given to the Alumnus who as a result of a particularly generous, selfless and/or altruistic event (or series of events) in their life, profoundly affected the lives of others to the betterment of the community and/or the world at large. |
