Adopt-A-Student Report Card Luncheon
On Thursday, November 8, 2008, Bishop High School hosted its annual Adopt-A-Student Report Card Luncheon.
The event is designed to thank and celebrate the many significant donors to this essential school program, while updating donors on our students and the school’s most recent accomplishments. The Adopt-A-Student Program provides tuition assistance for qualified students whose families demonstrate financial need and with 60% of our student body qualifying for assistance, the continued support of this program is essential.

| The event was held in the school’s library where the library reception table was decorated with memorabilia from the era of Santa Barbara Catholic High on to the most current spirit apparel for Bishop High School students. Guests were greeted by our student Ambassadors, Sr. Theresa Reis and Fr. Tom Elewaut. Our thirty-three guests enjoyed a wonderful lunch and by all reports thoroughly enjoyed the presentation by speaker, Dr. Sean Kelly, |

Dr. Kelly had recently returned from a teacher training session in Dubai where he was involved in leading teacher training sessions designed to enhance a student’s receptivity to learning. Dr. Kelly shared learning strategies and photos of Dubai while explaining to guests the importance of maintaining a diverse student body and supporting students eager to enter Bishop’s college prep program regardless of financial need. Fr. Tom Elewaut ended the luncheon with |
