Department Philosophy:
The Theological Studies Department welcomes students of all faiths and facilitates learning by educating students, along with parents as the primary educators, to the values, content, and traditions of the Catholic faith in an ecumenical manner consistent with the school's stated philosophy and goals.
The Theological Studies Department is committed to providing a strong academic program of the highest quality through a complete and balanced program of instruction which is consistent with the content and traditions of the Catholic faith as well as the Archdiocesan directives for curriculum content.
Realizing the importance of "faith in action," the Department of Theological Studies is committed to encouraging students to share their time and talents in response to genuine human needs through community involvement.
To recognize the value and uniqueness of each and every student as a person with religious, intellectual, imaginative, emotional, social and physical potential.
To structure our classes to enable our students to develop self-awareness, self discipline, and self-motivation in their responses to the emotions of others and their own beliefs.
To foster an understanding of the benefit to pursuing a lifelong engagement in the building and the incorporating of one's faith.
